Morgan Canada Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Morgan Truck Body, LLC, and together the largest manufacturer of light- and medium-duty freight and refrigerated van and truck bodies in North America, will share the latest innovations and strategies.
To address the growing need for middle- and last-mile package, dry freight, and refrigerated delivery trucks at Booth P401 at ExpoCam, the meeting place for Canada’s trucking industry, 25-27 May 2023 in Saint-Hyacinthe, QC.
“Morgan Canada is thrilled to be a part of ExpoCam this year as we continue our commitment to building bodies that meet our customers’ dry and refrigerated needs, for both rural and urban areas of Quebec, Ontario and beyond,” says Gary Lalonde, Director of Sales for Morgan Canada.
Morgan Canada’s innovations are proudly built in Ontario and available for all provinces. Morgan Canada offerings include the Morgan dry freight Gold Star 4500 and refrigerated Cold Star 4500 truck bodies, which are built to help businesses deliver in any provincial setting. Morgan 4500 bodies are designed with lightweight subframes, rear bumpers and composite walls to help meet GVW restrictions and reduce fuel usage.
Also available is the Cold Star Refrigerated Composite, built to improve durability and longevity with a body constructed of composite materials in lieu of wood and steel. Morgan composite bodies offer lighter-weight materials than standard refrigerated bodies to help increase payload availability. They feature a slip-resistant aluminum inverted T-floor, a composite reinforced rear door threshold with thermal break to reduce condensation, and a seamless exterior panel for optimized graphics.
A leader of the transition to electrification, Morgan Truck Body is designing innovative bodies that are compatible with fully electric powertrains and refrigerated units. A recent introduction includes a Morgan body developed with state-of-the-art materials designed to maximize thermal efficiency and lighten the load. Mounted on a Lion Electric Lion6 chassis, it utilizes a Thermo King all-electric refrigerated unit and includes a complement of situational awareness sensors.
The refrigerated unit is seamlessly integrated with the chassis’ Electric vehicle systems and powered by the vehicle’s onboard batteries; Morgan’s EV refrigerated truck body is designed with an aluminum-extruded subframe that provides significant weight reduction and composite panels that reduce weight without compromising structural integrity.
“We are proud to be a part of complete zero-emission solutions such as this one,” expressed Patrick Gervais, Vice President of Canada Truck Sales and Public Affairs, Lion Electric. He also shared, “Morgan’s lightweight body featuring Thermo King’s e1000 refrigeration unit mated to a Lion6 and powered by the truck’s battery system is not only efficient, but great for the environment too.”
